Over 40 years with Soundline

We're fortunate to enjoy some very long term support from many of our customers, and we've especially enjoyed working with these ones from Christchurch.

The owners of this beautiful system have always regarded recorded music as an integral part of the home. In 1974 long before the CD was even a gleam in Philips eyes and ‘streaming’ was rain on the windows. A second-hand set of Quad tube amplifiers, Thorens turntable and a pair of B&W loudspeakers took pride of place in the living room.

Plenty to look at, both inside and out of the lounge room.

Home improvements were eventually needed though, and the condition of the floor joists required the rolling back of the carpet, adjusting with a skill saw and adding a block of concrete to provide some added stability for the cabinet on which the family turntable was placed. This helped avoid the stylus leaving the groove while normal family activities took place.

Accuphase CD player, tuner and amplifier provide plenty of options.

As the family grew, more space was needed and home music systems changed, but Soundline was always involved in ensuring the music system fitted the lifestyle of the time.

Now this beautiful system features some of the best from Accuphase and Sonus faber, performing in the most elegant of surroundings. It provides a new insight into the joy of recorded music. The owners are re-visiting and expanding the repertoire and although the children have left the nest, the house is rarely silent. Who can blame them.
