It’s certainly an exciting-sounding speaker

A starting point for acoustic excellence

The all-new Bronze Series 7G has gone back to the drawing board. The R&D team have investigated every previous Bronze Series to understand and extract all the qualities that has made Bronze DNA so special, so strong and what made it a class-leader.

With five carefully crafted models, each raising the bar within this entry-level segment, the series features new acoustic technologies, cabinet designs and stereo and AV
options. It will continue to cement its reputation as the rightful starting point for anyone wishing to experience true high-fidelity audio.

Bronze Series 7G. Concise and focused. The only choice to start your high-fidelity listening experience.

Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium (C-CAM) for pistonic-performance

At the heat of Bronze Series 7G, delivering the sonic authority expected from a highfidelity speaker system of this calibre is the C-CAM drive unit. A staple of all Monitor Audio Speakers, this metal cone material is lightweight, more resilient to bending forces and therefore, supremely strong and piston like in its movement. It graces all bass-mid, mid-drivers and high frequency tweeters used within Bronze Series 7G for total performance.

Powerful Bronze bass, to move you

Below the smooth metallic surface of the Bronze Series 7G C-CAM drivers are powerful motor systems. Carefully designed to provide a responsiveness, agility and power to deliver high-fidelity music and movie playback, the latest Bronze Series 7G utilise a new progressive spider design to improve excursion linearity. Larger voice coils are also deployed; from 25mm on the Bronze Series 6th generation to 28.5mm on the 7th generation. This provides far more bass extension and enables greater power handling, for controlled, punchy articulate bass.

Delivering life-like clarity

The Bronze Series 7G C-CAM bass-mid drivers cover the most important audio frequencies within the sound spectrum. These cover frequencies emitted by musical
instruments and most significantly, the human voice.
It is therefore fitting that the Bronze Series 7G utilises a bass-mid driver design that features large magnets and voice coil,, giving Bronze Series 7G much higher power
handling, high sensitivity and thus delivers far greater control and more accurate time responses.
What this means is that movie soundtracks from the quietest, to the most dynamic passages, or delicate string to powerful bombastic music passages are delivered
with total realism and neutrality, giving the listener a deeper experience of listening.

Compact, controlled and crystal clear

The Gold dome tweeter was first introduced in a Monitor Audio speaker in 1986. Since then, it’s been consistently improved and developed becoming an innovation
icon in the world of audio.
The latest incarnation within Bronze Series 7G, not only is thinner, lighter and more rigid than the previous 6th generation, its carefully formed profiled dome,
now benefits from the UD (Uniform Dispersion) Waveguide II. This improves time alignment and allows a lower frequency to crossover for wider directivity. Working alongside a new compression ring, the result is less distortion and a more enjoyable listen.
Further, newly optimised venting allows the tweeter to increase its SPL within the 2-3Khz region for more precise playback at higher volumes.

Crossover Design – the purest of signals

The crossovers for Bronze Series 7G have been optimised over many hundreds of hours of listening, each component having been carefully selected by the R&D team. Each component has gone through rigorous measurement testing to improve the overall ‘system
design’ and with high-quality capacitors and transistors used – at this price point - the Bronze Series 7G provides detailed and precise sound delivery across all audible sound frequencies for an engaging listen.

Reviews

That midrange is full-bodied, adding to that solid punch from the bass. The highest frequencies are very clear, sounding especially tight on cymbals - and with the speakers toed lightly out so that the tweeters face my ears, the soundstage is very clear and has very reasonable ‘forward/back’ integration.
