The Rega Planar 6 RS is a carefully judged step-up from the already excellent Planar 6, bringing trickle-down engineering from Rega’s higher-end decks into a more attainable package. The headline upgrade is the inclusion of the RB880 tonearm, a design normally reserved for the Planar 8. This arm uses a precision, zero-tolerance bearing assembly with improved vertical bearings and ultra-low friction movement, allowing it to extract significantly more detail from the groove while maintaining exceptional tracking stability .
