Home Theatre and HiFi

Hear Every Detail. Feel Every Nuance.

At the heart of the SR-X1 is a newly developed medium-sized circular electrostatic driver, engineered to deliver exceptional clarity, natural tonal balance and precise musical reproduction. Unlike conventional dynamic headphones, electrostatic drivers use an ultra-thin diaphragm suspended between electrically charged plates. This lightweight design allows the diaphragm to respond rapidly to the musical signal, helping reproduce delicate details and dynamic changes with impressive precision. The result is a transparent, articulate presentation that lets instruments and vocals sound natural, with a convincing sense of space and separation.

The SR-X1 draws inspiration from classic STAX models, including the original SR-1 and SR-X series, while incorporating modern refinements to improve performance and comfort. Its carefully engineered housing and rigid metal frame help minimise unwanted resonance, allowing the electrostatic driver to perform at its best. The open-back design further contributes to an airy, spacious presentation, making the SR-X1 an excellent choice for listeners who value realism, detail and an intimate connection with their music.

Comfort Meets Electrostatic Excellence

Comfort is just as important as sound quality. The lightweight construction is complemented by soft genuine sheepskin ear pads and memory foam cushioning, providing a secure, comfortable fit for extended listening sessions. A detachable 2.5-metre, six-core oxygen-free copper cable completes the package, offering practical convenience alongside STAX's meticulous attention to detail.

Designed and manufactured in Japan, the STAX SR-X1 is an excellent entry point into the world of electrostatic earspeakers. Whether you're rediscovering a familiar album or exploring the subtleties of a high-resolution recording, the SR-X1 offers an engaging, highly revealing listening experience that rewards careful listening.

Please note: The STAX SR-X1 requires a compatible STAX electrostatic driver unit (energiser) and cannot be connected directly to a conventional headphone amplifier or standard headphone output.

What are the STAX SR-X1 Earspeakers?
The STAX SR-X1 are open-back electrostatic earspeakers designed for high-fidelity music listening. Combining a specially developed electrostatic driver with STAX's decades of audio expertise, they deliver a highly detailed, natural and transparent sound that reveals the finer nuances of your favourite recordings.
