Rebirth of a classic

The Amadeus was the first and original design from Well Tempered Lab that featured the now quite famous and innovative 'golf ball' tone arm. The Amadeus Jr. now features a multilayer plywood plinth finished in Black and can be ordered with either the famous 10.5" golf ball tonearm or recently developed Symmetrex tonearm.

In short: I have not seen anything like this before, nor heard anything like that.

Who is this for?

Who is this for?

The Well Tempered Lab Amadeus Jr Turntable is the rebirth of a classic, based on the original Amadeus design that first featured Well Tempered's now-famous and innovative tonearm approach. It suits listeners wanting the distinctive Well Tempered sound and design philosophy in a more accessible package than the full Amadeus 254 GT.

It's well suited to established vinyl listeners who have outgrown an entry-level turntable like the Simplex MK2 and want a genuine step up in analogue performance.

It's a strong mid-tier choice for anyone wanting a taste of the classic Amadeus design and heritage, without yet moving into Well Tempered's flagship models.

But let's get back to the dynamics - the Amadeus Jr. it is perfect in this regard. The important thing is that it does this without brightening the sound and without hardening the attack. As I said, its sound seems to be very warm, and yet we have all the details, all information, and all this presented in a coherent way.
