Kimber Carbon is quickly becoming Soundline's go-to interconnect for mid to high-end systems providing a large, open natural sound profile without being excessively bright or overly dark.
The revolutionary Carbon interconnect uses eight, VariStrand copper conductors which are held in place with a carbon-infused polymer and insulated with Teflon®. The interconnect consists of a single run of cable but uses Kimber's unique braiding technique of separating the channels at each end of the cable, maintaining the weave.
Carbon interconnect features 8, 19.5AWG braided conductors with a seamless braided transition to right and left RCA or XLR connectors and is an optimal analog interconnect for sources, preamplifiers and amplifiers.
Electrostatically dissipative carbon polymer reduces mechanically induced electrical noise and improves the uniformity of the voltage gradient within the insulating dielectric. The outermost sleeving is also carbon-doped to reduce charge accumulation on the outer surface of the cable.
"With the Kimber Kables in my system it was immediately apparent that these cables were something quite special. This this was not because they injected their own "great" sound into my system, but because even though the difference was, as I used this expression at least once before, very slight but significant, I felt as if this was the first time I ever "really" heard this album. How do I know what this album should sound like? This is where you'll have to trust me, dear reader. I've had this album for years. I've gone through quite a few system changes during these years. I've heard this album with quite a few different highly regarded audio cables in my system. And I've heard this band live about six times, starting in 1981. I know what Kraftwerk sounds like. And I know what this album sounds like." - Enjoy The Music Nov 2019 Full review here.
