The Accuphase A-300 Mono Power Amplifier redefines the boundaries of high-fidelity sound. This flagship amplifier, designed to celebrate Accuphase's 50th anniversary, delivers unparalleled audio performance with its Class A monophonic design.
Accuphase make some of the finest amplifiers in the world and we can't recommend them highly enough. The beauty of these is that they'll pair well with almost any speakers and make them sound beautiful. A fantastic base to a new system or an unparalleled upgrade to an existing one, an Accuphase amplifier will deliver all the power you need for a lifetime.
Accuphase's monophonic high-output amplifiers have been constantly refining their technology since the companies founding, and have always led the world's high-end market, delivering a number of historic products. The A-300 is a pure Class A monophonic power amplifier that was born as the successor to the world-famous A-250, the fifth model in their 50th anniversary range. By bringing together the latest technology in all aspects of circuitry and mechanisms, improving noise characteristics and expanding the Class A operating range through higher output, they have achieved the highest level of performance and sound quality that can reproduce the rich emotions of music.
The Double MCS+ configuration uses four circuits for amplifying the input signal, connected in parallel to keep distortion to a minimum and to further enhance S/N ratio and other parameters. The resulting level of sound quality is simply stunning.
As shown in the circuit diagram of the amplifier section, the power amplification stage makes use of two completely identical power units, each with 10 N-channel and 10 P-channel power MOS-FETs connected in parallel. These units are arranged on the left and right side of the chassis and driven in parallel, resulting in a 20-parallel configuration. This ensures a stable balance in terms of electrical operation, weight distribution, thermal dissipation and other aspects. The parallel drive approach achieves a total allowable power dissipation value of 5.2 kW, which in turn reduces the power load on each MOS-FET, allowing each device to operate effectively in its range of optimum linearity.
