The Fives incorporate award-winning, proprietary Klipsch Reference acoustic horn-loaded technology, from dedicated left and right speakers for a big, bold soundstage. Built-in dynamic bass equalization delivers powerful bass at any volume. The Fives also feature 192kHz/24-bit decoding for flawless reproduction of high-resolution audio tracks.

True Connectivity

The Fives are the first powered monitors on the market with HDMI-ARC to connect directly to a TV for high-resolution, discrete 2-channel TV sound. The Fives include a phono preamp, Bluetooth® 5, HDMI-ARC, digital optical, analog RCA and USB inputs, and a subwoofer output.

It’s a punchy sound, too, able to take on stabbing snares and hi-hats as well as heavy artillery. A good pair of hi-fi speakers should always be able to do both, and so it transpires with The Fives. Stereo imaging is good, provided the speakers are positioned with care and placed on a solid support.

Without a shadow of a doubt, the star attraction is the speed and grip. This is largely courtesy of that fine tweeter, which has lightning-fast transients that are in turn leveraged by the horn loading. This unrelenting turn of pace never fails to make music enjoyable.

The Klipsch Fives are a complete music system in one box. As tested by me, the Fives are fully capable of standing on their own and playing music from your mobile devices, or they can accept whatever digital or analog source you may have including a turntable.
