Accuphase E-280 Integrated Amplifier

The Accuphase E-280 Integrated Amplifier is the entry point into the range, but gives up nothing when it comes to features. AAVA volume control completely does away with any variable resistors in the signal path, leaving more signal and less noise.

The E-280 also provides plenty of clean power thanks to a large transformer and custom filtering. Efficient heat sinks keep things running smoothly and deliver an output of 120 watts into 4 ohms or 90 watts into 8 ohms per channel.

Two rear expansion slots leave your options open. Simply add an AD-50 (phono preamplifer) or DAC-50 (digital to analogue converter) option boards as required. These truly make the E-280 an amplifier for life. Additional inputs are easliy added as they become available.

Sonus faber Sonetto III speakers

We've chosen to pair the Accuphase E-280 with the outstanding Sonetto III floorstanding speakers from Sonus faber. Modest proportions, but the characteristics of a much larger speaker make these an ideal match to the E-280.

Due to some terrific design and engineering, the Sonus faber Sonetto III produces much bigger sound than a speaker its size has a right to. If you’re tight on space and thought you’d have to settle for a bookshelf design, think again. The Sonetto IIIs could well be the answer. And if you have placement restrictions, the Sonettos are more forgiving than most floorstanders. The Sonetto IIIs have such a wonderful ability to reproduce lifelike midrange and midbass that you’ll often forget you’re listening to speakers.

The Sonetto is a high resolution loudspeaker for a typical medium sized room. It is dry, projective and informational. Sonus Faber have engineered it well to give an accurate sound tailored for medium sized rooms where it will impress any listener. Worth hearing without a doubt.
