3LCD Technology

All Epson projectors are based on 3-chip LCD technology for amazing colour, incredible detail and solid reliability. 3LCD’s 3-chip architecture dedicates an entire chip to process each primary colour – red, green and blue, continuously. Unlike single-chip technology that delivers colour sequentially, you get full-time colour. The result is vibrant, realistic images and video all delivered with 3LCD’s true-to-life colour.

Amazing colour brightness with Epson

Brilliant image quality requires high colour brightness (colour light output). EH-TW9400, powered by 3LCD technology, is capable of producing White Light and Colour Light Output of 2,600 lumens in 4K enhancement resolution, delivering amazing colour brightness.

The EH-TW9400 delivers its impressively bright, contrast-rich and colourful images without suffering excessively  with either heat or fan noise. Some will want the sharper 4K impact of XPR DLP and native 4K rivals, but the only serious issue I can really find with it is the ongoing effort required in always getting the best out of its considerable HDR talents, with the myriad of radically different content that's out there. Invest some of your time, though, and it can be made to sing with almost anything you care to throw at it. And that's what matters most.

So what’s not so good? At this price not much, but if we’re looking for negatives then the motion handling is the obvious limitation of this LCD projector. That’s not to say it’s bad, with 24fps material handled correctly and free of any induced blur not already present in the source material.
