LUMIN P1 Mini builds on the success of the multi-award-winning LUMIN P1 by packing as much of the componentry and flexibilty as possible into a chassis based on the massively popular D3 and U2 Mini all-aluminium designs.

Just like its bigger brother, P1 Mini is designed to be used as a streamer, a DAC, a pre-amplifier or all three! With 5 analogue and digital inputs, a linear power supply and many other components taken from flagship players, LUMIN P1 Mini packs incredible versatility and value into its new slim chassis.

Music streaming services now provide us with instant access to tens of millions of tracks of high quality audio. LUMIN music streamers make it easy to integrate this vast library of music into your Hi-Fi system, allowing you to get the most out of your listening experience.

LUMIN P1 Mini can be used like all other LUMIN players. With its DSD512/PCM384 support, Femto clock system, Fibre networking, toroidal power supply and Leedh processing, P1 is second only to LUMIN X1 in pure streaming ability.

Connect all of your stereo sources to LUMIN P1 Mini, attach a power amplifier and you've got everything you need for an incredible music system.

Fibre networking

A world-first on X1 and now featured on many LUMIN models, optical networking provides complete isolation from network noise. Additionally, dual network ports mean that you can connect LUMIN L2 or a NAS directly to P1 Mini.

2 Channel TV system

No need for an AV Receiver. Simply attach your HDMI sources to LUMIN P1 Mini and then P1 mini to a TV. With HDMI ARC, all audio comes through your main speakers.

LUMIN P1 Mini offers a range of five analogue and digital inputs including one HDMI connnection with stereo input, AV passthrough and ARC. Inside are dual ES9028PRO DAC's for huge dynamic range, and LUMIN P1 Mini also features a new internal toroidal power supply similar to the range-topping X1 music streamer.

18 months of continual development has lead to LUMIN's uniquely efficient design including an oversized switching power supply and a fully-digital signal path all the way to the speaker outputs.

Stream from anywhere

The LUMIN range is all about streaming music and as you'd expect, all models support the Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect services. High-resolution streaming comes to LUMIN players courtesy of Tidal and Qobuz streaming services. Tidal has been available in NZ for some time and many of our clients already use it. It offers a large library of CD quality streaming (approx 70 million songs..!) and around 23,000 albums in MQA high resolution. More recent to NZ is Qobuz, which boasts a catalogue of over 70,000 albums, 22,000 of which being high-resolution with up to 24-bit 192kHz resolution. Our initial listening tests revealed its sound quality, particularly on high res content to be superb.

Apple AirPlay is also supported so you're free to stream virtually anything from your iPhone, iPad or Mac through your LUMIN player.

If you have a collection of digital music, either purchased via websites like Bandcamp, HD Tracks or Qobuz, or ripped from your own CD collection, the LUMIN streamers will help you get the best from these files. They'll play music in any format (including DSD), stored on either a hard drive that's connected directly to a LUMIN, or via a network storage device like the LUMIN L1 or 3rd party NAS drive.

All LUMIN network players are certified as Roon ready, which means they'll drop right into your existing setup if you're a Roon user. Roon is an elegant music management tool that's designed for music-loving audio enthusiasts. If you're not a Roon user, controlling your player is still easy and fun using the free LUMIN App. It was created to work in harmony with the LUMIN hardware to deliver the most intuitive and visually rich way to browse, select and play your music collection.

One thing was beyond doubt. Connecting the new Lumina P1 Mini to the system was absolutely comfortable, the sound quality was still at an excellent level and there was no discomfort compared to the top player. The sound remained clear and dynamic, without losing the famous Lumin musicality.

The P1 Mini is easy to understand and use, both as a player added to a conventional system and as a full-house digital-based preamplifier.

A versatile, beautiful, very well-built device with a sound that will shock most people who have not had contact with good audio before. But it will also be a surprise for audiophiles , especially when we connect the player directly to a power amplifier or active speakers.
