We have available a pair of Shahinian Arc Mk1 speakers available. A cult HiFi classic, the Arcs are unlike anything you've heard before. There is some small damage on top of one of the speaker cabinets (see photo) but other wise these are in very good condition. We recommend you come in and take a look and audition these. No Box, buyer must pick up from Soundline Christchurch, 3 months warranty.
Shahinian loudspeakers are an American loudspeaker brand founded by Dick Shahinian. Dick started his design career working for Harman where he designed their Citation 13 loudspeaker. Dick believed that the reason that most loudspeakers at the time didn’t sound lifelike was because sound doesn’t just come towards you from a point source. To get truly lifelike sound an omni-directional design is required. As a result the original shahinian omni-directional speaker was born.
The Arc is a classic design from Shahinian. A compact floor-stander that is easy to accommodate into most domestic settings because of its size and form. It can be moved easily when not in use and is very forgiving of nearby furniture due to its upward firing drivers. The Arc produces deep natural bass using an upward firing bass driver which is augmented by a rear firing passive radiator.

Rear-mounted passive radiator design with 8-in polypropylene curvilinear cone woofer with 1 ½” high-temperature patented D.D. voice coil and 28-oz ceramic magnet; 38-mm titanium ultralight exposed dome midrange, and 1-in titanium-neodymium supertweeter. 3.0 amp quick blow fuse; filters at 6 dB woofer, 18 dB midrange, 18 dB tweeter. Dual binding posts.
